ICSE is broader, wordier and more written than CBSE. It needs its own batches, its own pace and teachers who have actually marked ICSE answers. That is exactly how we run it.
Why we refuse to mix ICSE into CBSE batches
The two boards diverge in more than syllabus. ICSE demands longer written responses, carries more subjects, treats English as a genuinely rigorous double paper, and rewards depth of expression in a way CBSE’s marking scheme does not.
A child sitting an ICSE paper who has been trained on CBSE answer lengths will run out of marks. So we run separate batches, separate teachers and separate assessment for every ICSE grade, even where the underlying topic is shared.
The fee does not change. The teaching does.

- English Papers I & II: language and literature marked separately, both weighted heavily
- Longer written answers: structure, paragraphing and marks-per-line trained explicitly
- Wider subject load: History & Civics and Geography as distinct papers
- Internal assessment: project and practical marks supported, not ignored
- Grade 9 to 10 continuity: the two years taught as one arc, because ICSE examines them that way

Online ICSE tuition for families in Dubai
Progmetics teaches ICSE and ISC live online to students in Dubai and across the UAE. Our classes are online only, so there is no centre to drive to: your child joins from home, and you can join any class, unannounced.
- ICSE batches, ICSE teachers. ICSE students are taught in their own batches by their own teachers, never mixed into CBSE classes, because ICSE marks longer written answers differently.
- Tested teachers, board-experienced in the board years. Every teacher passes a subject test and a live teaching trial before they teach your child, and Class 10 and Class 12 batches are taken by board-experienced staff only.
- Grades 3 to 10: AED 450 a month, excl. 5% VAT. Five subjects, one each weekday, in a live class of up to six.

ICSE online tuition: questions parents ask
What is the full form of ICSE, and which board conducts it?
ICSE stands for Indian Certificate of Secondary Education. It is the Class 10 examination conducted by CISCE, the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations, which also conducts the ISC examination in Class 12. So CISCE is the board, and ICSE and ISC are its two regular school exams. We teach both, live online, in batches kept separate from CBSE.
Are ICSE students taught separately from CBSE students?
Yes. Separate batches, separate teachers and separate assessment for every ICSE grade, because ICSE rewards longer written answers and marks them differently.
Do you teach ICSE students in Dubai?
Yes. We teach ICSE and ISC students in Dubai and across the UAE, live online, in ICSE batches kept separate from CBSE. There is no centre to visit: your child joins from home, wherever you are in Dubai.
Does ICSE tuition cost more than CBSE?
No. In Grades 3 to 10, the fee is the same: AED 450 a month, excl. 5% VAT, for five subjects, one each weekday, in a live class of up to six. ISC students in Class 11 and 12 also pay the same as CBSE students. See Class 11 and 12 fees.
Do you teach ISC, Grades 11 and 12?
Yes: Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Commerce, Accounts, Economics and English. Classes are one-to-one, or in a group of three in the same grade and curriculum, at the same prices as CBSE Class 11 and 12. Subjects taken across streams are taught one-to-one only.
How is ICSE English taught?
Language and literature, Papers I and II, are taught and marked separately, with written work returned every week.
When are classes held, and how long are they?
Monday to Friday, in your chosen slot between 2:00 PM and 9:00 PM Gulf Standard Time, the same for families in Dubai and every other emirate. Each class is 55 minutes and taught live.
