CBSE Class 10 online tuition in the UAE
In short: Progmetics runs live online CBSE Class 10 tuition for students across the UAE, covering all five board subjects: Mathematics, Science, Social Science, English and a second language, with Hindi as standard. Each subject has one 55-minute class a week, Monday to Friday between 2:00 PM and 9:00 PM GST, in CBSE-only classes of at most six, taught by board-experienced teachers. Board-year batches prepare for both Class 10 board sittings, February and May. Regular Online Tuitions costs AED 450 a month, excl. 5% VAT, for Grades 3 to 10, and you can watch a free demo class first. It is part of our CBSE online tuition.
Who CBSE Class 10 tuition is for
- CBSE Class 10 students at UAE schools sitting the board exams in 2027, in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah or the Northern Emirates. Classes are online, so the fee and the timetable are the same in every emirate.
- Families who want every board subject in one plan: Mathematics, Science, Social Science, English and the second language, for one monthly fee.
- Students joining part-way through the year. Placement is open at any point in the April to March academic year.
- Students who need more time in one subject. Specialised Subjects gives three 55-minute classes a week in that subject, on its own or alongside the core plan.
- Looking for one subject or another board? For Maths alone, see CBSE Class 10 Maths tuition. For ICSE, see ICSE online tuition.
Two board sittings: what it means for your child’s year
Since 2026, CBSE Class 10 has two board exams a year.
- February is the exam. The first board exam starts in mid-February and is compulsory for every Class 10 student. CBSE calls it the main examination.
- May is optional, and it’s for improvement. Eligible students can use the second exam to improve up to three subjects out of Science, Mathematics, Social Science and the languages. Both exams cover the full syllabus.
- Missing February has a cost. A student who misses three or more subjects in the first exam can’t sit the May exam.
- Internal assessment happens once, before the main exam, so it can’t be fixed in May.
Our view: plan the year around February. May is a targeted repair for one or two subjects, not a plan. A child who aims at May arrives underprepared twice.
The 2027 dates are not out yet. CBSE publishes the date sheet on cbse.gov.in. The full rules, with CBSE’s own notifications, are in our guide to CBSE Class 10’s two board exams.
What we work on in Class 10
- Subject specialists. Separate Physics, Chemistry and Biology teachers from Grade 9, and separate Maths teachers for Grades 9 to 12. Board-year batches are taken by board-experienced staff only. Meet the teachers.
- Standard and Basic Maths taught separately, because the two papers ask different kinds of questions. More on our CBSE Class 10 Maths page.
- Past papers under timed conditions from the second term.
- Marking-scheme technique: where the marks actually sit.
- The school’s order. We follow the order your child’s school follows through the syllabus, so class and school point the same way.
We do not promise a number. We promise your child walks into the hall having already sat that paper several times.
Subjects
Regular Online Tuitions covers the five core Class 10 subjects: Mathematics, Science, Social Science, English and a second language.
- Languages: English and Hindi are taught as standard, with Hindi as the standard second language. Other Indian languages, such as Tamil, Malayalam or Kannada, are available as a paid add-on, and your advisor will share pricing.
- This year’s Class 10 stays on the existing scheme. From 2026-27, CBSE’s third-language rule and its Computational Thinking and AI changes apply to younger classes, including Class 9, not to Class 10. Students already in Class 10 in 2026-27 continue under the existing two-language scheme. Our CBSE 2026-27 changes guide explains what changes for younger children.
How Class 10 subjects are marked. For the major subjects, CBSE sets an 80-mark board exam, and the school runs 20 marks of internal assessment. A student must appear in both, and needs at least 33% to pass a subject. About half of the board questions are competency-based: case-based, source-based, data and application questions, alongside multiple-choice, short and long answers (CBSE Secondary Curriculum 2026-27). That is why past papers and marking-scheme technique matter in every subject, not only Maths.
How Class 10 board-year classes run
- CBSE students only. CBSE and ICSE students are never taught together, and Class 10 batches are taken by board-experienced staff only.
- Monday to Friday, one subject a day, in a slot you choose between 2:00 PM and 9:00 PM Gulf Standard Time (GST). That means each subject gets one live class a week, four a month. You can change the slot at no charge if a seat is free in the batch you want.
- 55-minute live classes of at most six children. Six is the ceiling, not the target.
- Every class ends with a live check. The last eight minutes tell the teacher whether the chapter landed before anyone logs off.
- Homework you can live with: around twenty minutes after each class, a short video and a quiz.
- You can see it working: live assessment scores from every class, chapter-level reporting, attendance alerts after two missed classes, and board-exam readiness reviews from Grade 9. You can join any class, unannounced.

Frequently asked questions
How much is CBSE Class 10 online tuition with Progmetics?
AED 450 a month, excl. 5% VAT, for all five core subjects: one subject each weekday, in a live class of up to six children. For one subject on its own, Specialised Subjects costs AED 600 a month one-to-one or AED 500 a month in a group of three, excl. 5% VAT.
Should my child plan for the February or the May board exam?
February. The first board exam, from mid-February, is compulsory and is CBSE’s main examination. The May exam is optional and lets eligible students improve up to three subjects. Our board-year batches prepare for both, but we plan the year around February.
Does my child need a third language in Class 10?
No. CBSE has confirmed that students in Class 10 in 2026-27 continue with the existing two-language scheme. We teach English and Hindi as standard, and other Indian languages are available as a paid add-on.
When does Class 10 board-exam practice start?
In the second term. That is when past papers under timed conditions begin, with marking-scheme technique: where the marks actually sit. Until then, each subject follows the order the school follows through the syllabus.
Who teaches Class 10?
Board-year batches are taken by board-experienced staff only. Physics, Chemistry and Biology have specialist teachers from Grade 9, and Maths has separate teachers for Grades 9 to 12.
Can my child join in the middle of Class 10?
Yes, at any point in the April to March academic year. Your child joins a CBSE Class 10 batch sequenced to where they actually are, and the year is still planned around the February board exam.
How many classes a week does a Class 10 student get?
Five: Monday to Friday, one subject a day, in a slot you choose between 2:00 PM and 9:00 PM Gulf Standard Time. Each subject gets one live 55-minute class a week, four a month.
What does a student need to pass a CBSE Class 10 subject?
At least 33%. For the major subjects, CBSE sets an 80-mark board exam and the school runs 20 marks of internal assessment, and a student must appear in both. About half of the board questions are competency-based, such as case-based and source-based questions.
Can my child add extra classes in one Class 10 subject?
Yes. Specialised Subjects adds one subject on its own: three 55-minute live classes a week, AED 600 a month one-to-one or AED 500 a month in a group of three, excl. 5% VAT. It can be combined with Regular Online Tuitions; ask us for a bundled figure.
