Privacy policy
What we collect, why we hold it, and what you can require us to do with it. We do not sell data.
This notice explains what personal data Progmetics Education FZ-LLC collects, why, and what you can require us to do with it. We collect the minimum we need to teach your child and run the business. We do not sell data, and we never have.
1. What we collect
- Parent details: name, mobile number, email address, emirate.
- Student details: first name, grade, curriculum board, subjects, batch timing.
- Academic records: attendance, live assessment scores, homework completion, teacher notes.
- Billing records: invoices and payment confirmations. We do not store full card numbers — payments are handled by a licensed payment provider.
- Technical data: device and connection information required to deliver a live class, and basic website analytics.
- Profile photo: only if you choose to upload one, used to personalize your account.
- Submitted files: any document or photo a student attaches to a homework submission.
- Message content: text sent through in-app messaging between parents, teachers, and admin.
2. Why we hold it
To place your child in a batch, deliver classes, report progress to you, issue invoices, meet legal and accounting obligations, and safeguard children in our care. Nothing is collected for advertising or profiling.
3. Who can see it
Your child’s teacher and the founder. As the company grows, access will extend only to academic and student engagement staff with a genuine working need. Service providers — video platform, payment processor, email and messaging services — process data strictly on our instruction under contract. This includes Sentry, an error-monitoring service that receives only technical crash and performance data — device type, OS version, and the error itself, never message content, files, or academic records. We do not sell, rent or trade personal data to any third party.
4. Recordings
Where sessions are recorded for quality assurance and safeguarding, recordings are stored securely, accessed only by authorised staff, and deleted on a defined retention schedule. They are never published or distributed.
5. AI tutoring conversations (TeachWave)
If your child uses TeachWave, our AI-powered revision assistant, we store the questions they ask and the answers given. This conversation history is visible to you in full, and to your child’s teacher only when a question is flagged for human follow-up — for example, if the same topic is asked about repeatedly. TeachWave only answers based on material actually covered in class; questions outside this scope are marked as such, not answered freely.
6. Video lesson activity
We record which educational videos your child has watched and when, so you can see their learning activity. This data is not shared outside your family and teaching staff.
7. Push notification data
If you enable notifications, we store a device push token — a unique identifier for your device, not tied to your identity beyond your account — so we can deliver reminders about classes, assignments, and grading. This token is used solely for sending you app notifications and is removed if you sign out or disable notifications.
8. How long we keep it
Academic records are kept while your child is enrolled and for two years afterwards, so we can issue records if you request them. Financial records are kept for the period UAE law requires. Marketing contact data is deleted on request, immediately.
9. Your rights
You may ask us to provide a copy of the data we hold, correct anything inaccurate, delete data we no longer need to retain, or stop contacting you. Write to support@progmetics.com and we will respond within 30 days. You can also request account deletion directly from the app: My Profile → Delete Account.
10. Children
Accounts are opened and controlled by a parent or legal guardian. Children do not hold independent accounts and we do not knowingly collect data directly from a child other than the academic records generated in class.
11. Security
Access is restricted by role, transmission is encrypted, and staff and teachers are bound by confidentiality obligations. If a breach affecting your data occurs, we will tell you and the relevant authority promptly rather than quietly.
12. Cookies
This website uses only what is necessary to function and to understand basic, aggregated visitor numbers. We do not run advertising trackers or sell audience data.
