Our CBSE and ICSE teachers
The single variable that decides whether tuition works. We select for it, pay for it, and replace for it without argument.
How a teacher reaches your child’s screen
Most applicants do not. The filter is deliberately narrow, because a class of up to six exposes a weak teacher within one lesson.
Qualification screen
Graduate or postgraduate in the subject, with a formal teaching qualification and demonstrable CBSE or ICSE classroom experience.
Subject test
A written paper set at one grade above the level they will teach. Conceptual depth, not recall.
Live teaching trial
They teach a genuine topic to a genuine small group while Tauseef, our Founder and Chief Executive, observes. Explanation quality is judged, not confidence.
Vetting & induction
Identity and background verification, child protection training, and a supervised probation period before they take a batch alone.
The same teacher, all year
Children do not rebuild trust every month. Your child keeps their subject teacher for the full academic year unless you ask us to change. If you do, we change without a conversation about it.
- One named teacher per subject, per year
- Specialist Physics, Chemistry and Biology teachers from Grade 9
- Teacher change on request, at any point, at no cost
- Every teacher trained in our child protection policy
- Ongoing observation and feedback throughout the year
Why our teachers stay
Six children instead of forty-five. Paid preparation time. Salaries paid on the first, without exception. A founder who answers the phone himself.
Teacher retention is not an HR metric to us. It is the mechanism by which your child’s progress survives past December.
Teaching roles open nowWho teaches what
Mathematics
Separate teachers for Grades 3 to 5, 6 to 8 and 9 to 12. Board-year batches are taken by board-experienced staff only. See how we teach CBSE Maths, Grades 3 to 12, CBSE Class 10 Maths and ICSE Class 10 Maths.
Science
Integrated to Grade 8, then split into Physics, Chemistry and Biology specialists from Grade 9. See Class 12 Physics.
English
Literature and language taught together. Written work marked and returned every week.
Social Studies
History, Civics, Geography and Economics, with source-handling and answer structure built in.
Languages
Hindi as standard, taught by native speakers. Other Indian languages, such as Tamil, Malayalam or Kannada, are available as a paid add-on; your advisor will share pricing. More on Hindi and second languages.
Arabic
Native-standard speakers teaching practical spoken Arabic at weekends, on Saturday, Sunday or both. A paid add-on: AED 499 a month or AED 1,800 for 16 weeks (8 on both days), excl. 5% VAT.
Coding & AI
Scratch and block coding through Python, and the Computational Thinking and AI modules CBSE makes compulsory in Class 9 from 2026-27.
Board preparation
Grade 10 and 12 exam technique: past papers, marking schemes, timing under pressure.
Teaching to the UAE school day
Our teachers teach to the UAE timetable, in Gulf Standard Time. Classes run Monday to Friday, in a slot you choose between 2:00 PM and 9:00 PM GST, and every class is 55 minutes, taught live. When term begins, you receive the timetable, your child’s teacher names, the joining link and your parent login.
ICSE teachers for ICSE students, board-experienced teachers for board years
CBSE and ICSE students are not taught together. Every ICSE grade has its own batches, its own teachers and its own assessment, because ICSE rewards longer written answers and marks them differently. See ICSE online tuition and ICSE Class 10 Maths tuition.
Board-year batches, in Class 10 and Class 12, are taken by board-experienced staff only. See CBSE Class 10 board-year tuition.
What your child’s teacher does in 55 minutes
Every class follows the same five steps. The teacher opens with three quick recall questions on the last class, teaches the new idea on a shared whiteboard, then watches every screen while the children practise, so a slip is corrected on the spot. The class closes with a short live assessment that every child answers, and homework is set as a short video plus a quiz, about twenty minutes of work. The minute-by-minute plan is on how a live class runs.
The live assessment scores from every class are visible to you, homework completion is tracked weekly, and you hear from us after two missed classes.
The rules every teacher works to online
- No private contact with a student by phone, message, email or social media. All communication runs through official Progmetics channels, with a parent or the company copied in.
- No sessions off the platform: teaching takes place only on the official platform.
- Camera on for the full session, in an appropriate, neutral setting.
- A parent may join any live class at any time, without notice.
Before teaching a batch alone, every teacher passes identity, qualification and reference checks, background verification appropriate to their jurisdiction, child protection training and a supervised probation period with observed sessions. Read our child protection policy.
Questions parents ask about our teachers
Can I ask for a different teacher?
Yes. A teacher change is available on request, at any point, at no cost. Otherwise your child keeps the same subject teacher for the full academic year.
How do you decide which teacher takes which grade?
By subject, stage and board. Maths has separate teachers for Grades 3 to 5, 6 to 8 and 9 to 12, and Physics, Chemistry and Biology have specialist teachers from Grade 9. ICSE batches have their own teachers, and Class 10 and Class 12 batches are taken by board-experienced staff only.
What checks does a teacher pass before teaching my child?
Identity verification, qualification verification, reference checks with previous employers and background verification appropriate to their jurisdiction. Every teacher also completes child protection training and a supervised probation period with observed sessions before taking a batch alone.
Can a teacher contact my child outside class?
Not privately. Teachers may not contact a student by phone, message, email or social media, and all communication runs through official Progmetics channels with a parent or the company copied in. Teaching takes place only on the official platform.
How does the teacher know whether a class has landed?
Each class ends with a short live assessment that every child answers, so the teacher sees the result before the class closes. You can see those scores too, and homework completion is tracked weekly.
