This approach helps in maximizing student engagement while ensuring minimal pre-requisite knowledge. The pre-requisites for the kids to the knowledge of counting, addition, percentages, comparisons and a basic exposure to operating computers is already been given at the early schooling years.By designing this course with the stated principles, we will be able to provide to kids an exciting, hands-on introduction to data science, we excited to provide this amazing early opportunity across the world for kids and are able to use the principles laid out in this full-fledged course to equip them with forthcoming opportunities and gateways for careers of their choice.
What is data Science?
Data Science is the collection of methods and tools used to extract knowledge and insights from data sets. It’s a subset of computer science, Data Science is nothing but Statistics and data analysis which helps to explain how the any phenomenon around you behaves. Learning Data Science will not only complement a child’s mathematical and scientific knowledge, which they will learn as key subjects in school, but it will also build their logical, critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities on the whole. It is also pave a solid career pathway for teens who wish to become coders, scientists, data analysts, mathematicians, entrepreneurs, and innovators in the future. Computer programming or coding is usually task driven with predetermined functionalities in mind. Data Science is more of discovery oriented. Data Scientist Course for Kids Curriculum
This is a uniquely designed comprehensive e-learning product which introduces a child to the world of Data Science offering children the best opportunity to learn the analytical Skills at the early age giving them an opportunity to explore their career of their interest. This program is offered from Grade 5 to Grade 12 Level with different course period.
COLLECT: Kids learn the importance of collecting, cleaning and analysing data sets to draw meaningful insights.
VISUALISE: Help kids to analyse and visualise data for making better decisions using a popular programming language: Python.
DISCOVER: Kids are exposed to different types of pictorial representations of data to discover useful information.
Course duration: 80 hours (4 hrs/week for 20 weeks or 6 hours per weekend for 12 weeks)
